Greenbrier Christian Academy Head Coach Patrick Nichols, his coaching staff, and current GCA players will instruct campers in all areas of baseball skill. 

The goal is to improve each individual's overall baseball skills through high level instruction, drill participation and quality repetitions. Proper throwing, defense and hitting mechanics will be stressed throughout, as well as positional and team concept skills. Players will be grouped by age and ability levels to insure safety. Positive adjustments will be encouraged.

Camp Dates: Monday, June 23 - Thursday, June 26 (Rain Date June 27 - if necessary)

Greenbrier Christian Academy Head Coach Patrick Nichols, and current GCA players will instruct campers in all aspects of hitting, bunting & baserunning.

This is a specialty hitting camp that will focus entirely on developing a player's offensive baseball skills. Players will rotate through a series of supervised stations, including batting cages. Each station will be designed to teach a different component of hitting. Players will also participate in hitting games and competitions designed to improve on an aggressive approach at the plate, proper grip, stance, routine, balance, stride/load, timing, bat path, contact points, extension, and proper finish. Young hitters will build a solid foundation and finish the week with an understanding of the swing. Experienced players will cover advanced topics such as hitting to all fields, situational hitting, hitting off speed pitches, and the mental side of hitting.

The goal of the Pitcher/Catcher Camp is to improve each players overall skills in their position through high level instruction, drill participation, and quality repetitions. Players will be grouped by age and ability levels to insure safety. Positive adjustments will be encouraged for all players.

Patrick Nichols and Gary Lee, with assistance of GCA players will run this camp.

This is a position specific camp for ages 7-16.

Players may register as Pitchers, Catchers, or Both.

SCAA is teaming up with Greenbrier Christian Academy Head Baseball Coach Patrick Nichols, his assistant coach Rob Younce, and current players to host Summer Baseball Camps for SCAA players this summer!  

This is a specialty camp that will focus entirely on becoming a better infielder. All aspects of infield play will be addressed, including pre-pitch routines, fielding mechanics, throwing mechanics, footwork, glove discipline, proper arm actions/angles, position specific body controls, position specific glove work, middle infield double play turns and feeds, slow rollers, proper footwork at 1B, tag plays at 2B/3B, picks at 1B, baseball IQ training and situations.  

Camp Dates: Monday, August 18 - Thursday, August 21 (Rain Date: Friday, August 22 - if necessary)

Ages: 6- 17

Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM each day

Greenbrier Christian Academy Pitching Coach Catelyn Whaley and current college/high school players will instruct campers in all areas of softball skill. 

Coach Whaley's experience includes:

·         Pitched for Greenbrier Christian Academy (GCA) and won 3 consecutive state championships

·         Averaged 10 strike outs per game at GCA

·         Pitched for NCAA Division I Longwood University

·         Has given lessons for 15+ years

·         Owner and Pitching Instructor at “The Pitchin’ Hole” in Moyock, NC

 

The goal is to improve each individual's overall softball skills through high level instruction, drill participation and quality repetitions. Players will work on fielding, hitting, sliding, throwing and team building, leading up to competition games to test the skills that have been learned. Players will be grouped by age and ability levels to insure safety. Positive adjustments will be encouraged.

 

Camp Dates: Monday, July 21st - Wednesday, July 23rd

Ages: 6 & up

Time: 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM each day

Location: SCAA Baseball/Softball Complex located at 2849 Eason Rd, Chesapeake.

Cost: $145 per player

The Pitchin' Hole's & Greenbrier Christian Academy's Pitching Coach Catelyn Whaley and players from Greenbrier Christian Academy & Currituck County High School will instruct clinic attendees in all areas of softball skills for pitchers & catchers. 

Coach Whaley's experience includes:

Players will be grouped by age and ability levels to insure safety. Positive adjustments will be encouraged.

Players may register as catchers, pitchers, or both.
